Invented by Jonathan Brewer, Ali Elaydi, Akhilesh Padhye, Vitaliy Davidov, Individual
The Individual invention works as follows
In the first aspect, there’s a device that detects a substance in blood. It includes a collecting tube, a reagent room containing a reactive element, and a connector tube for fluid communication between the reagent and collecting tubes. The connector tubes are designed to draw blood into the reagent by capillary action. Other aspects of the device include an outer casing, and/or multiple reagent chambers each containing a reactive element. Background for Drug detection device
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a detection system that determines the presence of a substance (e.g., drug) in the bloodstream of an overdose patient and the life-saving measures that should then be taken based on that substance.
Description of Related Art.
First responders have limited capabilities in evaluating patients suffering from overdoses, poisonings, or other illnesses. First responders might be limited to basic life support treatment, such as measuring vital signs and assessing health emergencies. First responders can administer medication to treat the symptoms or monitor the patient to ensure they are transported to the hospital quickly. It is possible to delay the implementation of life-saving measures, which can lead to serious, even fatal, consequences. The report of the first responder as well as the diagnosis of the admitted Emergency Room (?ER) doctor will be used to determine the appropriate treatment. Another clinical decision must be made by the doctor regarding whether to delay lifesaving treatment while laboratory results are available. The wait for the laboratory results can take up 30 minutes after the patient has been admitted to the ER. This is in addition to the time taken to get to the hospital. Unexpected delays in treatment can have negative consequences for the patient’s health.

DESCRIPTION THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT.
Below are some examples of the testing device. This specification may not include all features of an actual implementation. It will, of course, be appreciated that in the development of any such actual embodiment, numerous implementation-specific decisions must be made to achieve the developer’s specific goals, such as compliance with system-related and business-related constraints, which will vary from one implementation to another. It will also be appreciated that this type of development effort can be time-consuming and complex, but it would still be routine for ordinary skilled persons of the art who have the benefit of this disclosure.
